Exterior Painting
Exterior painting is mostly about timing and preparation. When either one is off, the results don’t last very long.
We’ve been working on residential exteriors since 1992, and most of what we do today comes from seeing what happens when steps are skipped or rushed. Paint usually isn’t the problem. The process is.
Our goal with exterior work is simple: take care of the surfaces properly so the finish holds up the way it should.
We Start With the Condition of your House
Paint tends to fail where moisture gets in or where surfaces were never prepared correctly to begin with. Peeling areas, exposed wood, old repairs. Those things don’t go away when you paint over them.
Before any painting starts, we deal with what’s already there. Loose paint is removed, bare areas are sealed, and repairs are handled where they’re needed. It’s slower work, but it prevents having to do the job again too soon.
Working Around the Weather
Temperature, moisture, sun exposure, even overnight weather all affect how paint behaves. Some days are right for painting. Some aren’t, even if the schedule says otherwise.
We plan exterior work around that reality. Waiting is sometimes part of doing the job correctly.

Talking Through an Exterior Project
Exterior painting usually starts with a walk around the house and a straightforward conversation about what’s going on with the surfaces. From there, we figure out what needs to be done.
