Decks & Pressure Washing
Cleaning Without Damaging the Surface
Pressure washing has its place, but it can also do harm if handled carelessly.
Too much pressure can scar wood fibers and shorten the life of the deck. Too little doesn’t remove buildup properly. We adjust pressure and technique based on the material and its condition.
The goal is to clean the surface, not rough it up.
Finish Control Matters More Than Coverage
Cabinet finishes are seen up close and touched every day. Thick application, rushed coats, or poor curing don’t just look wrong. They feel wrong.
We apply finishes with control so doors don’t feel heavy and profiles stay defined. Edges are kept clean. Nothing is pushed just to get through the job faster. When cabinets are done properly, they look finished without looking coated.
Preparing for Stain or Sealer
Cleaning alone doesn’t protect wood.
After the surface is properly prepared, stain or sealer is applied in a way that allows the wood to absorb protection evenly. Rushing this stage leads to uneven coverage and early wear.
Deck finishes should protect the wood without looking heavy or layered on.
Beyond Decks
Pressure washing is also used to clean siding, walkways, and exterior surfaces before painting or maintenance work.
Each surface is handled differently. What works on concrete doesn’t work on wood. The approach changes accordingly.
Talking Through a Deck or Cleaning Project
Deck and pressure washing projects start with a look at the material and its condition.
From there, the work is planned around cleaning, prep, and protection needs.
